NextBuses App Tells When the Next Bus is Coming on Stop

An amazing iphone app specifically designed for UK residents that informs when the next bus would arrive on the stop. This app helps you get notified of the next coming bus on the stop especially for the stops where there is no display for the buses time.
Using information from Traveline’s NextBuses service, which already exists in SMS and WAP-based form, it mixes scheduled and real-time (where available) information based on the user’s location.
NextBuses covers 370,000 bus stops throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Though if reviews on iTunes are to be believed, the coverage could be a little patchy outside the main cities. One iTunes reviewer complains: “The app by itself is good… if there were any information it could give you. I haven’t found one bus stop yet that has any departure info.”
And at $ 0.99 it sounds worth it if you’re a regular bus user..
There’s also a similar app from Kizoom – who created the original SMS and WAP services mentioned above – with some slightly different features and also taxi information. Both of them launched on the same day! Take a look at both – I’d be very interested to hear any comparisons!
